Job Purpose

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing the business needs, identifying business system-related problems and propose solutions through system development or re-engineering lifecycles.

This position reports to the IT Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

Identify and analyze business application problems and provide solution as required.Determine requirements for business systems to meet user department needs and total business objectives.Understand and appreciate MFG/PRO application to provide support and should be able to extract data from related database tables.Conducts and/or participates in the analysis of business processes and functional requirements and in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. Administer all relational databases to ensure daily DTS load success.Support end users with the development of Microsoft Excel-based solutions to information requirements (MS Queries, Pivot table, logical functions).Database administrative functions including and database concept, including system lifecycles , user issues , relational database and adapt warehousingTrain end user on business systems and any related system.Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed

The purpose of this accounting job in kenya is to plan, organize and manage the operations of the Accounts Payable section to ensure efficient processing and maintenance of the Accounts Payable transactions. This job reports to the Operations Controller.

Principal Responsibilities of this accountant position are in 3 Core Areas: Supplier management, Net working capital and Performance Management as well as the following accountabilities:-
Streamline the supplier payment process including scheduling of payments.
Reviewing of all supplier reconciliations and ensuring that there are no reconciling items that are older than one month
Review on a monthly basis the GRNI control accounts and ensuring that the amounts outstanding are below 60 days old.
Review and check all invoice batches before confirming and updating the same in MFG
Maintain a log of all disputed invoices and report monthly on action taken to resolve them
Manage payment to inter-company and overseas supplier and generate a forecast of FX payments on a weekly basis for the purposes of managing the Forex exposure.
Spearhead automation of payment processes.
Manage local supplier payments by among other things ensuring payments are done as per agreed terms, supplier relations are maintained and improved
Manage the performance of direct reports including setting individual KPIS, tracking and measuring the performance of staff against the Key Performance Indicators on a quarterly basis.
Developing the accounts payable team through on the job coaching and evaluating the training needs/proposing action to address the needs.
Accounting Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceBachelors’ degree in Commerce, preferably Accounting/Finance option
CPA (Kenya) or finalist
Knowledge of various legal requirements regarding Kenyan Government Taxes
Knowledge of the Accounting cycle particularly Accounts payable cycle and General ledger
Working Knowledge of fully integrated ERP systems
