Job Summary: To manage the supply chain processes of procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution to achieve the corporate goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implement the Supply Chain strategy.

Manage supplier relationships.

Ensure procurement and manufacturing processes are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Manage the outsourced processes of manufacturing, clearing & forwarding and transport.

Manage Sales & Operations planning to ensure product availability.

Manage supply chain team HR:- recruitment, appraisal, skills gap and training, career development and leave planning.

Ensure production warehousing process for safe custody, controlled access and accountability of contents

Develop Supply Chain budget

Effective management of operating and product costs.

Day to day Supply Chain decisions

Selection of clearing agents

Selection of transport companies

Recommend alterations affecting contractual rights and obligations.

Changing of packaging materials and suppliers of non-actives.

Recommend structural and process changes in Supply Chain

Qualifications and Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing concern preferably at Management level in supply chain operations.

A bachelor’s degree required, MBA would be desired.

Logistics & Distribution or MCIPS

Good knowledge of the business environment

IT literate with understanding of ERP capabilities

Excellent communication skills.

Negotiation skills

Basic contract law

A valid driving License
