Job Responsibility

(1) Manage Word Press Blog with the Dadaab Youth Groups around the Camps
(1a) Edit/Prepare/Publish Blog EntriesReceive blog entries from Youths umbrella team members in Dadaab Refugee CampsRead and edit entries so they communicate the desired message. This includes grammar, punctuation, spelling and ensuring the message fits in an international context.Publish entries to word press blog as frequent as possible(1b) Suggest material/content for blog Maintain an overall idea of the effectiveness of the blog/and websiteSuggest desired content to the youth umbrellas (2a) Create schedule for reporting from the Youth Umbrella Members
(2b) Support the youths in submission of Face book posts – ensure work is done properly

The African Research and Resource Forum (ARRF) is a research, data resource, reflection and policy debate institution devoted to the resolution of the governance and development challenges confronting policy-makers and societies in the East African Community (EAC) and Great Lakes Region.

It links scholars, researchers, opinion leaders and public service functionaries to interact and shade ideas.

The Forum also facilitates the evolution of regional community of scholars, activists and institutions, with a shared interest in resolving inter-African development problems.

ARRF wishes to fill the following vacancies at the secretariat in Nairobi, Kenya.

Programme Interns

2 Positions

The ARRF Internship programme aims at providing valuable work experience to fresh graduates, holding Bachelors or Masters Degrees with a demonstrated interest in development policy research and analysis as well as in ICT/Library.

Interns will be supervised by senior research/program staff for the duration of their internship.

The minimum period for internship is three (3) Months, renewable for another 3 months, depending on performance.

This is not a salaried position and ARRF pays only a modest transportation allowance to the interns and may also provide them with medical insurance cover.

Qualifications:

At least a Bachelors degree in ICT/Library, Public Administration, Political Science, development Economics, Economic Policy or related social sciences.

Safe sex Africa specifically deals in promoting Sexual reproductive Health (SRH) in institutions of higher learning, Universities, Colleges, estates, and Villages with our main target being youths between ages 16 Years to 32 Years.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing organizational grand proposals with our international experts
* Writing proposals to run different programs
* To manage all the programs in your Campuses, Coordinate with our finance offices for funding and report on all activities.
* Be accountable for all the organizational resources, including instruments, Finances, publications e .t c
* Organizing and executing Sexual reproductive health(SRH) education trainings
* Organizing thematic events,
* Coordinating SRH behavior change training groups and forming Behavior Change Communication Groups
* Supervising and mentoring peer to make responsible and informed choices as regards their sexuality and HIV/AIDS, then submitting reports for M&E purposes
