We seek to hire an accounts assistant specializing in payables. Reporting directly to the to the Finance manager.


The main purpose of this job will include performing activities related to the accurate processing of authorized supplies invoices, updating and reconciling  financial related information and providing accounting support to other departments in accordance with established practices.


Responsibilities



  • Administration of payables ledger

  • Allocating, verifying and posting invoices on the accounting software

  • Payment to supplies

  • Reconciliation of supplies accounts

  • Resolving account discrepancies

  • Preparing financial reports

  • Contribute team effort by accomplishing related results

  • Filing VAT returns on Itax and effecting the related payment

  • Filing Withholding tax

  • Responding to Audit queries on Payable ledger

  • Ensuring all payables document are filed serial


Requirements



  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce or Accounting

  • Professional qualification – CPA (K) or ACCA

  • Competence in Ms office packages – should be very talented and conversant with Excel.

  • Must have 2 years work experience in an Accounts Payables role, as the current role

  • Must be conversant with Sharia laws

Job Purpose:


To provide financial, clerical and administrative services. To ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of accounts under his or her control.


Responsibilities



  • Maintain up-to-date billing system

  • Generate and send out invoices

  • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments

  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines

Requirements

Airtel Kenya is recruiting for the position of Airtel Money Operations Manager, within the Airtel Money Division. This role will report to the Head of Airtel Money.


 


The key responsibilities for this role shall include:


 



  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of mobile commerce operation: Develop process and procedures to ensure efficient management of operations. Track business partner’s records and performance. Ensure follow up of payments due to airtel money are realized within required timelines.

  • Compliance to Service Level Agreements: Develop Service Level Agreements track and monitor performance with shared services sections ( i.e Marketing, sales, technical supply chain, customer service, legal & regulatory) and ensure adherence to the same

  • Development and implementation of new products and services: Coordinate with Product Manager on implementation of new services and product enhancements

  • Custodian of Airtel Money System:  Monitor of all accounts (trust and pre funded) and maintain accurate balances. Responsible for creation approval, onboarding, deletion of agents and staff profiles on the system as per given Know Your Customer guidelines. Coordinate with Customer Service to archive churned customer numbers

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure a documented KYC procedure for Airtel money as aligned with risk and compliance

  • Revenue Management: Protect and grow baseline segment revenues through quality acquisitions, usage stimulation and churn containment working closely with relationship managers. Support collection and recovery efforts from segment accounts to avoid bad debt costs

  • Customer Delight: Implement initiatives to enhance user experience on the AM platform


Qualifications:



  •     Bachelors degree with Post graduate qualifications being a plus

  •       7 years of work experience in sales, administration or operations with at least 3 years in a managerial position. Experience in telecommunications or a financial institution is preferred

  •        Able to innovate and deliver value to business at multiple levels

  •       Able to manage outsourced partners to deliver business solutions

  •       Good leadership and  interpersonal skills



  • Good written communication skills

DSW seeks to recruit National Department Manager – Programmes and Projects who is the link between the Country Director dealing with strategic decisions and the operationalization of the strategic goals and objectives at country office level.


(S)He works in close cooperation with the Country Director and the other National Department Managers to ensure the effective and efficient planning, implementation and evaluation of DSW Kenya’s projects.


The National Department Manager-Programmes and Projects is part of the Country Office Management Team. The National Department Manager works in close cooperation with the respective HO management staff on the international level, supervises and follows up the day to day working relation with the National Team Coordinators of the programmes and projects department.


General Areas of Responsibility:


Organisational development



  • Provide strategic programmatic recommendations to the CD regarding departmental inputs to the implementation of the strategic plan objectives.

  • Support the CD in staffing decisions.

  • Support the CD with the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and procedures.

  • Lead and oversee the development & implementation of budgets & annual work plans.

  • Support the National Team coordinators in the programmes and projects department in the implementation of departmental or DSW strategies which take place in close collaboration with relevant HO staff


Management



  • Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of programmes and projects of the department and their alignment with the DSW strategic plan indicators.

  • Supervise country office Programmes and Project staff; provide direction and leadership;

  • Establish and/or maintain relations with implementing partners, other organizations and donors relevant for programme work.

  • In collaboration with the National Team Coordinator, lead and support resource mobilisation in accordance with the Strategic Plan and donor guidelines.

  • Oversee contract management, donor compliance and reporting.


Operational responsibilities



  • Oversee the mobilisation and capacity strengthening of youth led organisations and networks of Young people to engage with key policy and governance spaces in favour of young people.

  • Strengthen, develop and maintain sound relations with policy, research and advocacy specialists at national, regional and international levels.

  • Ensure a proper documentation of project work, including best practice, evaluation reports, etc.

  • Develop and support implementation of training and coaching programmes.

  • Provide technical support for the departments team coordinators.

  • Represent DSW overall interests and perspectives towards external and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement appropriate tools and other project related guidelines for improved programme implementation, monitoring and impact assessment, in close consultation with the respective HO staff.


Qualifications


Appointment to the position will be made from persons who have:



  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized University.

  • Have at least eight (8) years working experience in programmes function in an INGO or a large organization of which at least three (3) years must have been at Senior management position.

  • Have demonstrated in-depth understanding of Reproductive Health issues and Policy work at national and international levels.

  • Have practical experience in proposal development & donor reporting.

The purpose for this role is to have a dedicated resource with the appropriate skills and knowledge to support the Bancassuarance strategy in BB segment of the bank. The key objective is to help the Director of BB to Deliver the Firm, by effectively cross selling insurance products to the Existing and New to Bank customers.


 


Responsible to Business Development Manager – Corporate with general management, renewals management, premium collection and relationship management ability. The key objective is to ensure that the Bank delivers a strong CVP that enables the Bank to become the preferred insurance solution provider through BBIAL.


 


Role will involve enhancing Insurance business development through effective renewals and transfer of the existing insurance covers to BBIAL, and ensuring that all new facility requests that require insurance cover are insured under BBIAL. In addition, the role requires that the jobholder explores the existing insurance cover opportunities the customers of the Bank and the segment may have, and delivering the Bank’s CVP to ensure they place all such insurances through BBIAL for the clients under the Business Banking segment.


 


Main accountabilities and approximate time split


Business Development/Management:



 


 



  • Responsible for the achievement of the BB Bancassurance revenue targets

  • Support the BB team of RMs to ensure that all insurance renewals are done on time, and through the BBIAL

  • Support the BB team of RMs to ensure that all NTB insurance requirements are sourced and placed with the approved underwriters, preferably FA or any other approved underwriter through the BBIAL

  • Work with the Trade Finance team to ensure that all LC customers are provided with marine cover through BBIAL

  • Joint customer visits with RMs to understand insurance needs and tailor customer led cost effective proposals to meet those needs

  • Attend BB Weekly RM Meetings to report on insurance uptake progress and enlist support

  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly performance tracking

  • Sales activations and customer sensitization(quarterly) in partnership with partners to increase uptake e.g. breakfasts, cocktails etc. (customer sensitization)

  • Relationship management with insurance partners for effective service delivery

  • Responsible for customer complaints management within BB segment

  • Responsible for claims processing and management within the TATs stated

  • Leading and managing the planning of annual business targets/ objective with each Relationship manager and ensuring that they are achieved through a regular process of monitoring and evaluation of results.

  • Manage renewals with sales teams to ensure renewals target is met.

  • Responsible for the appropriate allocation of resources to approved field activations

  • Obtain Approval of all sales related  expenses

  • Field activity by accompanying relationship managers to presentations

  • Dashboard management with relevant MI teams to confirm accuracy of management reports on sales activities

  • Own budgets distribution with insurer partners and ensure they are met as agreed

  • Set up Bi-weekly business review meetings with Insurance partners to discuss budget achievement and product uptake

  • Identify product needs and develop solutions in liaison with various insurer partners/Underwriters by sales teams.

  • Identifying cross and up sale opportunities and track performance

  • Develop training budgets, programmes as per needs identified

  • Develop, implement and track sales incentive programmes

  • Work with the BDM – Corporate to ensure strategy deliverables are properly documented and monitored.

  • Ensure all documentation is correctly completed, collected and submitted as per procedure manuals and SLA’s


 


Rigor/compliance:





  • Ensure  all regulatory requirements are met by ensuring compliance to the insurance act and SLA’s

  • Ensures review and escalation if required, of Sales administrative issues.

  • Responsible for compliance with business procedure manuals

  • Ensuring all claims are reported, tracked and resolved as per SLA by Head office

  • Ensure compliance with Snap checks process and internal audit

  • Ensure all drawn facilities have adequate cover written via BBIAL


 


People management:

Premium Collection


And policy administration.




  • Ensure all premium is collected from all sales as per laid down procedures in accordance with the insurance Act and SLA’s with partner insurers

  • Provide management reports on premium collection status of all sales done on a monthly basis

  • Manage all aspects of premium refunds raised by sales teams

  • Ensure all premium is receipted as received with partner insurer in liaison with Head office – Bancassurance teams
