Overall Responsibility


Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services at the Hospital.


Qualifications



  • Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.

  • Certificate or post graduate training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

  • Must be registered and licensed by the Radiation Protection Board of Kenya.

  • Must have at least 5 years working experience 2 of which should be working experience on a 1.5 Tesla MRI Unit.

  • Excellent knowledge of techniques in general and specialized Radio diagnostics, Computed Tomography (CT) and Fluoroscopy.

  • Excellent computer skills in Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Airtel Kenya is recruiting for the position of Airtel Money Operations Manager, within the Airtel Money Division. This role will report to the Head of Airtel Money.


 


The key responsibilities for this role shall include:


 



  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of mobile commerce operation: Develop process and procedures to ensure efficient management of operations. Track business partner’s records and performance. Ensure follow up of payments due to airtel money are realized within required timelines.

  • Compliance to Service Level Agreements: Develop Service Level Agreements track and monitor performance with shared services sections ( i.e Marketing, sales, technical supply chain, customer service, legal & regulatory) and ensure adherence to the same

  • Development and implementation of new products and services: Coordinate with Product Manager on implementation of new services and product enhancements

  • Custodian of Airtel Money System:  Monitor of all accounts (trust and pre funded) and maintain accurate balances. Responsible for creation approval, onboarding, deletion of agents and staff profiles on the system as per given Know Your Customer guidelines. Coordinate with Customer Service to archive churned customer numbers

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure a documented KYC procedure for Airtel money as aligned with risk and compliance

  • Revenue Management: Protect and grow baseline segment revenues through quality acquisitions, usage stimulation and churn containment working closely with relationship managers. Support collection and recovery efforts from segment accounts to avoid bad debt costs

  • Customer Delight: Implement initiatives to enhance user experience on the AM platform


Qualifications:



  •     Bachelors degree with Post graduate qualifications being a plus

  •       7 years of work experience in sales, administration or operations with at least 3 years in a managerial position. Experience in telecommunications or a financial institution is preferred

  •        Able to innovate and deliver value to business at multiple levels

  •       Able to manage outsourced partners to deliver business solutions

  •       Good leadership and  interpersonal skills



  • Good written communication skills

Qualifications:



  • Be a holder of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or its equivalent and a Masters degree in the health-related field from a recognized institution

  • Be a registered practitioner with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board, Kenya, be a member in good standing and hold a current practicing license

  • Have knowledge and experience of not less than 15 years of relevant work experience with at least ten (10) years served in senior management or leadership position

  • Possess a Strategic Leadership Development and Corporate Governance Certification from a recognized institution

  • Have a thorough understanding of quality assurance within a hospital context, project analysis/ and evaluation, policy development and formulation, and relevant legislation and regulations

  • A post graduate qualification in management or its equivalent from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

  • Candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 including:- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
    – Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
    – Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority
    – Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission

Graduate Assistant (Senior School) Job at St. Andrews, Turi

Responsibilities



  • St Andrew’s Senior School is seeking to appoint a Graduate Assistant who will assist the house parents in providing pastoral care within the boarding house teams and act as a model in all areas to pupils within the boarding house.

  • Reporting to the House parent in the respective boarding house, the Graduate Assistant will be responsible for supporting teachers in classes, students on a one to one basis in smaller groups, running of academic clubs and maintain and update certain departmental and general School notice boards.

  • They will also liaise with the Deputy Head Pastor in matters related to tutoring of groups of pupils and cover for academic lessons.

  • The applicant will be expected to contribute strongly to the co-curricular life of the school.

Case Management Internship at Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (2 Positions)


The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration is a State Corporation established under the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration Act No.26 of 2013 with the primary mandate to promote the practice of international commercial arbitration in Kenya and other forms of alternative dispute resolution in domestic arena.


The Centre offers dispute administration services and facilities for the conduct of arbitration, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanism


Qualifications



  • Degree in Law, Arbitration, International Trade/ Investment Law, or related field from a recognized university.

  • Demonstrable skills in research methods and writing is an added advantage.

  • The persons eligible for this programme shall:

  • Be unemployed Kenyan graduate from recognized training institutions who have completed their degrees course within the last two (2) years and not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study;

  • Be graduate of Degree and Diploma programmes, for whom internship is a requirement for registration by their respective professional bodies;

  • Not have retired or exited from formal employment;

  • Not have benefited from a similar programme and available for the entire period of program

  • Be unemployment Kenyan youth aged between 20 and 35years;

  • Be Computer literate


Personal Attributes



  • Must be a person of integrity (Current Police Clearance-Good Conduct require)

  • Must be goal oriented, dynamic self-driven and diligent individual

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Update fund records for accuracy, decision making and reporting to the Board of Trustees



  • Updating and maintaining Members’ Account (Account balancing and maintaining records)

  • Computing Members’ Benefits and withholding tax

  • Facilitating the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements /accounts and administration reports

  • Filing of all statutory reports, payments of levies and taxes to the regulatory bodies.

  • Arranging and keeping minutes for office weekly and monthly meetings   


 



Qualifications


 



  • Graduate Degree in an Accounting Field or related business degree from a reputable university

  • CPA II or equivalent

  • 2 years experience in pensions/provident fund administration or closely related working environment

  • Knowledge of RBA Rules & Regulations and KRA laws on retirement benefits schemes

  • Computer Literate  

  • High integrity and confidentiality

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines with minimum supervision

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Do you want to be part of an organisation that fights for children every single day? We are looking for a committed and experienced nutrition specialist to join us as Regional Humanitarian Nutrition Adviser (ESA), based in East Africa.



In our Humanitarian department, we fight for children every single day. We integrate emergency and development work, through our country programmes. We increase our capacity to meet the assistance and protection needs of children and their families affected by crises. We go the extra mile - and we don’t rest until the work is done.



As the Regional Humanitarian Nutrition Adviser you will be a member of the Regional Technical Team, the Save the Children Emergency Nutrition Working Group (ENWG) and will play an important role in coordinating and working closely with other technical staff in Kenya and SCI Regional Office staff in East and Southern Africa. In addition you will:




  • Provide technical oversight to a large and dynamic humanitarian nutrition portfolio in the ESA Region, to support the delivery of quality humanitarian nutrition programs

  • Deploy to the field at short notice to set up new humanitarian nutrition programmes, and provide technical and project management support to country level Nutrition Specialists for humanitarian response including advisory visits as needed.

  • Provide quality and adaptive Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) tools and support to country programmes to ensure understanding of high quality programming, operations and advocacy in humanitarian nutrition programmes

  • Support country programmes and head office in the recruitment of humanitarian nutrition staff and ongoing mentoring to support staff development in humanitarian nutrition settings

  • Identify opportunities and progress existing partnerships with external health and nutrition institutes in the region, and UN agencies, to increase humanitarian nutrition capacity in the region

  • Represent SC in various technical and nutrition advocacy initiatives and partnerships and lead on specific areas of advocacy and representation directly related to humanitarian nutrition programming

  • Liaise with the relevant external regional stakeholders including donors, learning institutes, UN and NGO representatives identifying opportunities, synergies and partnerships for SC’s humanitarian nutrition work.



To be successful you will have significant and progressive experience in the field as well as regional or head office level in the implementation and management of humanitarian nutrition programmes. You should also be nutrition professional with post graduate qualifications in nutrition or a relevant subject. In addition you will have:




  • Proven experience in management of humanitarian nutrition programs

  • Experience of contingency planning/emergency preparedness planning

  • Experience of working with nutrition cluster coordination mechanisms in country and practical understanding of the cluster approach at country, regional and global level

  • Experience in team leadership and management with highly developed writing skills

  • Strong communication skills at a level appropriate for high level external representation and ability to tailor communications to different audiences

The main purpose of the Geography-based IT Manager role is to support the IT Director as a representative for the whole of IT, including the IT Service lines, IT Service Delivery & Global Innovation, with the cluster business teams.



Responsibilities



  • Proactively develop a strong relationship with the customers – The business teams in the cluster, and the suppliers, Global IT Innovation, ES IT Service Line Owners and IT Service Delivery.

  • Responsible to ensure that the requirements of the business are understood, the strategy and plans for IT are clearly communicated and the overall IT plan and priorities within areas of responsibility are clearly articulated and agreed.

  • Manage projects to support local business growth programs as aligned with overall IT and business plan – working with appropriate Service Lines to ensure achievement of these programs.

  • Support the Service Delivery team as the point of coordination of Urgent Incidents within his/her scope of responsibility for Integrated Services including problem management activities

  • Provide full application management service for Legacy and Heritage (L&H) applications as determined by scope of area of responsibility.

  • Support the activation of the global innovation programs to support plans in the cluster based on area of responsibility

  • Ensure the review and proactive identification of improvements of all existing IT Services within area of responsibility.

  • Ensure alignment to IT Compliance and governance framework, and provide appropriate input to and management of IT Costs

  • Support to deliver on the Digital Supply Chain Agenda and digital Business processes aligned to Tea Plantation Strategy Plan.


Requirements



  • Be a University Graduate in IT, Computer Science and equivalent Professional qualification

  • At least 8 years’ experience in Business Security Management biased towards Business partnering

  • Proven track record in delivering business application projects to the business and partnering a large equivalent large country/multi-country organization with key interfaces to management and senior management in the organization.

  • Experience in managing direct reports.
