The Nobeah Technologies Foundation is the not-for-profit counterpart of Nobeah Technologies Ltd., a technology company focusing on technology with deep potential for social impact as well as the strong growth prospects required for sustainability. The Nobeah Foundation was created to distribute technologies from Nobeah Technologies Ltd. on a subsidized or free basis where those technologies could have dramatic impact.

Across Africa the Nobeah Technologies Foundation will raise money from both local and international donors to sponsor free distribution of the technologies from Nobeah. Through these activities the foundation will achieve its goal of supporting insightful game-changing innovations that impact the very equations of human suffering and limited opportunity so solutions emerge organically, then building capacity for the solutions to sustain themselves and provide a solid platform on which further innovations may find anchor.

ABOUT THE JOB

ROLE: Investment Partnerships manager

LOCATION: Nairobi, Kenya

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience. These positions require between 5-40 hours a week, M-F from 9-4:30pm. The positions are flexible to accommodate up to 100% remote work. The role will spend a flexible amount of time per week working with us to familiarize themselves with our overall leadership and strategic direction and to contribute their own vision to our investment and donor fund raising strategies.

These are volunteer positions. Remuneration during the volunteer period will be entirely based on a sliding commission. If the position leads to an offer of full-time employment being made compensation will be increased to include a base salary as well as commission. It is hoped that within 6-12 months the successful management candidate might take over in a paid role leading this team.

Summary of Position:

Nobeah Technologies Foundation. is seeking an Investment Partnerships Manager.

He/She will support a wide range of fundraising activities and will build the capacity of our staff to effectively lead investment and partnerships work towards the foundation strategic vision. The successful candidate will lead on our strategy, ensuring that opportunities are identified and award winning proposal submitted by country-programmes in line with our new Investments and Partnership strategy.

This is an exciting role which involves close working with many teams, often remotely. The post-holder will be comfortable working independently, at distance from his/her manager and the Investment and Partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelors degree in relevant subject.Business,finance,accounting and/or economics

Essential

§ A minimum of 4 years fundraising experience in institutional and corporate funding, with expertise of at least international fundraising

§ Investment management experience or at least managing an investment bank.

§ A successful track record in initiating, cultivating and securing support from institutional donor agencies (bilateral / multilateral) and / or in raising funds and developing relationships with corporate.

§ Demonstrated ability to lead and finalize large scale strategic funding proposals and reports coordinating input from a variety of sources working to tight deadlines

§ Capacity building, training or coaching of others in the area of fundraising, marketing or other relevant areas.

§ An excellent understanding of project cycle management

§ Strong knowledge of current and future development and funding trends

§ Experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies

§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferable

§ Experience in the international development sector.

§ Experience in investment management/investment banking role

§ Experience of fundraising and NGO sector

§ Country fundraising experience

§ Knowledge of Inclusive Business

§ Experience working cross-culturally and providing remote support
