Principal Business Analyst – Network Performance Reporting Jobs at Safaricom, Kenya

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Commercial Operations Department within the Consumer Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Job Purpose 

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Commercial Operations, the core purpose of this role is to ensure that the company meets its strategic sites revenue objective by focusing on sites analytics, reporting and insight reports on all 5 regional area, 10 sub regions, 34 sales area and over 5,500 sites revenue tracking and trends, while advising the business on opportunity areas that will help drive increased voice and data usage and revenue growth as well as the low performing areas/sites.

This role also is responsible for consumer sales incentive plan (SIP) computation and quarterly payout.

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities

Circulate timely Revenue performance report per sales area, clearly indicating sales area monthly targets, score and their respective sites.

Identify sites performance trend (drop/growth) for further follow up, monitoring and activations by ASMs.

Make sure all sites and especially the new ones are correctly mapped to their respective sales areas as well as the respective regional areas and assigned targets to each sales/Region area accordingly

Come up with new sites analysis report for new sites and actual payback period compared to the target.
Sites revenue trends focusing on revenue trends in comparison with market/ competitor activities.

Come up with low performing site/towns report and organise for joint market visit to determine the reasons behind declining sites for correction measures to be done

Review sites that are consistently not meeting revenue and traffic targets 6 months after site commissioning.

Plot coordinates on Map Info to establish regional geodata that is useful for market share growth and retention.

Come up with sales incentive plans as well as KPIs for consumer sales teams, which will to be used to payout SIP on achievement of sales targets and seek its approval

Measure the KPIs achievement and where targets have been achieved come up with a payment schedule on a quarterly basis for approval and payment by payroll.

End year review of the payout schedule and present to governance board for further review for the following year’s payout.
Qualifications For Business Analyst Jobs In Kenya

Economics or Business related Degree

Good analytical skills with knowledge of geo mapping software such as Map Info critical.

5-6 years’ experience in market research and/ or GSM network planning.

Basic appreciation of GSM technology.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Team player with excellent influencing skills.

High level of Initiative and self-drive.

Problem solving and decision-making skills.
