Volunteer Opportunity: Career Counselor
 

Job Purpose: This is an opportunity for a recent graduate to utilize his/her skills in career counselling in a career development agency.
 

Job Description

• Provides individual and group career counseling Recommends, administers, and interprets standardized career assessment inventories.


• Develops and presents workshops and occupational information to various audiences.


• Maintains effective communication and provides high quality customer service to clients.


• Creates effective marketing strategies/materials to increase participation in Career Services initiatives.

 

Qualifications
 

Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, Guidance and Counselling


• Demonstrated ability to work with the youth


• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision


• Ability to be sensitive to issues of diversity and ability to work in a diverse environment.


• Ability and familiarity with computer applications.


• Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies.

Desired

• Completed a tests and measurements course.

We are located in Kitengela and would prefer someone who is living close or easy commuting distance to where the office is.
