Head of Operations – Waste Collection and Processing

Summary: Our client is an innovative young company that seeks to change the waste management and recycling space in Nairobi and beyond. 

The company is currently scaling up its operations and is looking to recruit a Head of Operations in charge of waste collection and processing.

You will be in charge of management the company’s operations from waste collection to processing of waste-to-value products. 

As part of the management team, you will take up significant responsibility in a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Processing Plant Production Manager

Adjudications Processing Supervisor

This position is responsible for ensuring that processing completed by the staff in the field or in the office is done in an efficient and effective manner while adhering to current RSC Africa standard operating procedures, as well as PRM and USCIS guidelines.

Manager Central Processing Unit

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations the Manager Central Processing Unit will be responsible for efficient transaction processing and providing sound leadership within Clearing, Trade operations, Treasury Operations, SWFT Operations & Payments.

Key Responsibilities

The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT, the Oracle Database Administrator will lead and coordinate design and implementation of databases supporting applications, Data Base Management Systems upgrades, disaster recoveries and migrations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop scripts to automate routine and repetitive database administration tasks.Design, install and support Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and its related products and technologies.Analysis of performance indicators to ensure that a DBMS is operating efficiently.Implement database backup and validate recovery plans.Design database security roles; enroll users and audit database security.Tune databases and plan capacity. Monitor database events, troubleshoot faults and resolve problems.Follow change management policies to migrate corrections and enhancements through database environments.Develop database/application migration plans -data, database objects, scripts.Qualifications; Experience and Competencies

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Assets, the Relationship Manager SME Credit will be responsible for business development for SME credit and product development while ensuring superior customer relationship management and a good quality portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the SME assets business pan and implement in line with the Bank’s overall strategy.Drive business development of SME credit products to new and existing SME clients as well exploit avenues for cross-selling other relevant products and services.Manage the team of SME Relationship Officers who manage the SMF clients portfolio assigned to them and that they are operating within approved limits, terms and conditions and appropriate deviations proactively addressed or escalated.Liaise with the Credit Analysis Department for the coordination of the approval process of facilities for approval and thereafter with the Credit Administration, Branch Managers and Legal Departments for the preparation and execution of facility documents and security perfection.Monitor and ensure compliance of facility covenants; conduct continuous assessments through periodic documentation review, physical visits and consistent monitoring of clients’ accounts.Qualifications; Experience and Competencies

As a part of these planned changes we are looking for a dynamic and focused self starter to run our flower processing operations in our Naivasha Region.

The Job

The key purpose of the job will be the overall management of the flower processing operations, people and related information in Naivasha, leading and developing a team of motivated professionals and providing guidance and support in order to deliver efficient and effective operations.

This will entail the working with other disciplines like technical and also the effective
management of teams within all pack houses, with regards to costs, efficiencies, quality, processing techniques and cold chain to ensure all process flows, specifications and chill chain are adhered to in order to deliver quality product through the supply chain.

As part of their key responsibilities the successful candidate will:

work with the Flowers General Manager, Technical Manager and local processing teams to develop and deliver an operations plan which meets Group and customer expectations in the delivery of safe, legal, consistent, quality products within all specifications.plan and maintain efficient, and relevant operational, reporting, communication and planning systems in order to measure all necessary aspects of processing efficiencies, cold chain and productivity in line with agreed budgets and KPI’s.plan and develop team within the processing operation that delivers the key objectives with and that there are sound succession and development plans in place to motivate and deliver world class performance.liaise with other departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of their own operations and also to ensure they are fully informed of own team’s objectives, purposes and achievements.ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, general duty of care and the groups longer term sustainability objectives.The Person

The ideal candidate must possess the qualifications / competencies outlined below.

Five years demonstrable senior flowers processing operational and management experience. Experience in serving and dealing with international customers will be a distinct advantage.Experience in devising and implementing business-relevant planning strategy at a senior level.
